Hi everybody, welcome to my blog ‘Call me Jacky’. This is the first post I’m writing for this blog and I’m pretty excited!
My name is Jacqueline but ever since I was little I was called Jacky. Every time I would introduce myself to other people I would usually say “Hi my name is Jacqueline but you can call me Jacky”. So that’s why this blog is called ‘Call me Jacky’!

Now, I know that a lot of people who I know and know me will probably think “Oh gosh, is she really going to try that?”. Yes I am going to try this, I am going to try to run a blog and post weekly about fun and awesome stuff.
That brings us to the first question that I already sort of answered. How many times per week am I going to post stuff? Well I’ll be honest, I’m not really good at doing stuff consistently BUT I am going to try to post once per week. Preferably Friday or Saturday. Since I still go to school and that can be pretty hectic sometimes, I figure that writing a blog on Friday or Saturday will be good to do. I hope that eventually I have the chance to post more often.
So the next item is, what am I going to blog about? No this won’t be your fashion blog or your artsy fartsy blog. On my blog I would like to post stuff about health, lifestyle, food related stuff, DIYs and my artsy fartsy stuff like illustrations and photography.

The next thing you’re probably wondering is why am I blogging in English? For the people who don’t know me, I’m a Dutch girl from the Netherlands but right I now I live in Belgium. The reason that this blog will be in English is that I have an awesome Boyfriend who is from America, Texas to be precise. We are together for almost 2 years now and in that time I got to know some awesome people from the states as well. Also since this blog is about us and what we are both interested about, it would be pretty unfair if his family couldn’t read the stuff I would post. Besides posting stuff in English will reach a much broader audience.

So to introduce my boyfriend, his name is Chris and like I said he’s from Texas. Which is such an awesome state! He’s in the Air Force and is stationed in Europe. I honestly never thought I would end up having a Texan as my boyfriend. But it happened and I feel very lucky.
Now, I know that maybe 1 or 2 people are going to read this blog right now but I hope that in the long run I will have a bigger audience and I can inspire and entertain people with my stories.
So to end this first post, thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to see you back again soon!
Love,
